Heh, I had a hitch/retainer clip come loose on my hydraulic clutch cable on my 08 GT yesterday as I got on the on-ramp to the highway. I couldn't shift gears but I was able to pull off to the side and have the car towed back home. I changed the clutch about 1000 miles ago and maybe I didn't secure the clip well enough. I ended up squeezing it a bit more and used some black silicone on the clip to make sure it wouldn't back out again. The feeling of dread I got when I pushed the clutch pedal in to go from 3rd to 4th gear and having it hit the floor was priceless lol but at least I didn't lose my brakes or something. I still can't believe that something smaller than the size of a quarter stopped me from driving to work...

Silly hydraulic clutches... There is a similar retaining clip on the cable clutch though where it goes through the bellhousing into the fork area. Although if that popped off I don't think it would totally take out the clutch.

Replaced the really sad stock GT mufflers with GT500 single tips. Unreal sound difference.

Thats awesome! Personally, I was never a fan of non-functional side vents/scoops on Mustangs...

They were functional from the factory on 94 Cobras and earlier run 95 Cobras. No idea why they stopped it. Not really going to make a difference on a V6 street car tho... not from that year but its cool to have.

I had a95 v6 and the vents were open and had openings to the rear wheel well. May have been all 95's. I was apprised to see it.

Yeah its pretty cool to have working but I'm about to redo it to where it blows air into the back of the car like the 67 Shelby I'll post pics of the project as it moves along if you or anyone is interested.

Very nice car man so did you set it up just as a drag car or do you plan on racing it around the twisties at some point in the future?

Thanks, more of a drag car than for the twisties because it's an auto.

Nothing fun, blew up the second engine. First time taking it all out WOT to 7,000 rpm to test it. Been running a tune limited to 5,000 rpm to capture data and look for any issues, thought it was ready for a full test, with tune limited to a little under red line. Unfortunately it wasn't and lost a piston, a weak point in the 3.7

This true. Luckily all my cars are garaged or protected from Mother Nature. Then again I don't clean my cars with water, so my cars never ever see water.
