Even with the problems with my '99, I love it to death and I'm going to miss it a lot so it hurts to sell it. I still miss my '95 GT even though it was much slower. There's just something about Mustangs, they're so much more than just a car.

Right now it's running stronger than ever, and I have a feeling that all issues are fixed but I still just kind of want to upgrade. It's an old car. A P.I. 2v with bolt-ons and a tune can't hang anymore in 2015 outside of toying with the ricers and barely walking away from the old 90's Cobras... or losing by a nose to an LS1 Camaro.

Will miss the '99, but looking forward to my next Mustang... hopefully this supercharged beauty right here with 15k miles:

Same thing happened to me with my 427R. Which it's my first mustang. I've driven quiet a few coyote cars and to be honest I was more impressed with the 427R. Plus, I think it looks a million times better than anything 10 and up. Biggest issue with the 427R is the little supercharger. Which that can be swapped for the 2.3L Roush TVS.
By the way very nice car; that color combo looks great.

I'll probably never find out, we don't have many turns out here in Missouri.

Yeah, I generally like the looks of the '10+ cars more than '05-'09, but the way Roush touched up the 427R makes it stand out. It looks gorgeous in person. Better than the pics.

What year was your 427R? Was it reliable?

Well from the looks of it I'm certain it can probably handle any corner you throw at it just watch for the tail whip on exiting a corner they sometimes sneak up on you in no time flat

I've read that they out-handle GT500s.

Well it depends on the setup and the conditions I don't mean this in a bad way but I'm sure it does since I think it doesn't have as much power from the supercharger but from your point of view I would see that as a advantage IMO

I still have it; and I have absolutely zero intentions of selling it, now (I looked at a 14 GT500). It's an 08, and only issue I had mechanically is I had to replace the pinion seal. That and the previous owner didn't give a crap about the car. So I'm basically doing a minor restoration.

Yeah, I'm not willing to risk wrecking the car. The only racing I do is on a track. Which the 07 427R is rated at 427HP and 391ftlbs, in 08 Roush upped it to 435HP and 400fflbs. But I'm pretty sure the performance figures are still the same. That tiny little gain isn't really noticeable. But my car is 460HP and 425ftlbs, CAI and Roush retune.

Yeah same here I would take it out on the track but there is not any good ones where I live but as for power and mod list here are the specs on mine
Custom ram air intake(still needs a heat shield)
Flowmaster low 40s short cut exhaust
Aftermarket fuel rail system with stock 19lb injectors
After all that though my power gain is small at best since its not been tuned for power but its enough to beat 04 and under v6 mustangs but even then its mostly by dumb luck.

Thanks it still has a long way to go but working on a motel pay grade repairs are sorta hard to achieve but I do love the car for every thing it is I only payed 1600 for it 2 years ago and its only broke down twice the first time was cause the previous owner didn't tell me about the seal on the water pump but when I replaced it I went ahead and had the timing belt replaced the second time was my fault cause I cross threaded the spark plug which caused it to blow out other then that she's been a awesome car

@tempest

Run over some "wipe new" or "Back to Black" that can be found at any Auto zone or O'Reilly. Both will revitalize that flat black and give it a healthy full finished look.

It looks like he just spray bombed his roof, that "back to black" stuff is not going to fix it. That's kinda what my roof looked like when I tried to spray it silver with factory matched paint just silver obviously. That's why its currently sanded back down and vinyl that will actually fit is in the mail.

Trust my I was really thinking about it but the problem is if your paint is not flat or is missing paint from being neglected (previous owner) it will show through on the vinyl or will begin to bubble up from the paint not sticking so I really had no choice but to remove the paint and if I'm gonna go that far I might as well paint it and have it on there for life but that's just my opinion.

Better than having paint missing on top of that the areas that are darker are from the hail damage where its thicker than others but you can't tell that unless your really looking for them or the sun is blazing right down on it but why would you paint your roof silver?

My car is silver. I already sanded my entire roof smooth. The vinyl will be smooth.

Recommend you take some 300 grit to the roof and sand the car down to a scuffed up factory clearcoat, then vinyl it. Or drive it to a shop that'll spray it for you. Do not use the AM vinyl.

Well my original plan was to have it painted but every shop I went to is gonna charge me at least 1600 dollars just to paint it so what I'm gonna do is repair the paint the best way I can but paint scheme wise the trunk is gonna we white with a flat black spoiler with new headlights and taillights and a set of gt rims but I'm sorta planning as I go you know?
