Wired in a battery disconnect switch. I relocated the battery to the trunk back in March 2013 and have had the disconnect switch for almost as long. Finally have the easy part done, the switch installed and wired but still need to drill the back panel and the GT/CS bumper cover to install the push-off rod. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Sorry for my ignorance here, but what's the purpose in a battery disconnect switch?

Can be used for security purposes of if there is a draw on your battery you can shut it off so it doesn't die while parked

Also used for racing if you roll or smash your car up you can kill power to the whole car so the fuel pump will shut off and it won't go up in flames

Don't the newer cars have a switch in the trunk that is supposed to do that anyways for the fuel?

Man, wiring up something and putting a button in is already beyond my abilities. So, it all looks amazing to me haha

For my application all it was was bolting something in to the battery and running the battery cables to it. Then you run the switch through an opening in the firewall and screw it in somewhere. Walah lol

It is pretty easy. I have one on mine for security reasons also. It really is just four nuts and a couple screws.

Today, I checked to make sure the battery tender "fully charged" light was still glowing green.

I am DEEP in the throes of 5.0 first gear withdrawal syndrome.....c'mon Spring!

True............but the perfect winter is lots of snow in the mountains and rain below 3,000 feet altitude.

Just got home from going to the coast for wife's Dr. appt. Two days ago I put front mud flaps on from AM. They worked great. Good thing, cause we got to drive in the snow and cindered roads. (ech)! Thought I paid to much for these little pieces of plastic. Body savers.

Yeah, those things are pretty expensive for what they are. I bought mine a few months ago just cause AM had them on clearance.

Got a pair of GT500 rears coming from AM also. Roads in Nor-Cal are hard on the paint in the winter.
