What did you do with your Mustang today

Gave the 5.0 a bath. Sadly it has been awhile but luckily she sits in the garage. Next weekend is the claybar and collinite paint sealant.

Finally finished with my front end... Unfortunately the light switch was bad, so I had to hook up a toggle switch until i have time to either replace it or do something else.

Finally installed a set of Pype Bombs on the 5.0, install time was almost 3 hours as it took forever to align the tips, but it paid off!

She's a completely different beast now, sounded like a jet on cold start inside my garage.

Replaced the ****ty old valve covers and put some nice Ford Racing ones, tightened down the carb on the new intake manifold, put on the new thermostat housing and topped the fluid off and ran it.

For comparison, this is how it looked in October last year when I bought it.

Fixed the corner light. It was roadkill. Overlaid new wire and got rid of the million wire splices.

I ran the hotrods in my 07 when I still had it. Had ARH long tubes and a catted x, was mean as hell. I had a dyno tune though, put down 340hp at the wheels.

Captain Plastidip strikes again! I got tired of looking at my sun faded bumper valence so l plastidipped it and the running boards. I love that stuff, makes everything look new again for a little while - just like an over the hill supermodel that's just gotten her first facelift....

Got her some new toys today....

Purchased my build list from American Muscle

Roush splitter set, Roush axle back, CAI, and quarter window louvers.

Should be my last major purchase (famous last words huh? LOL)... Well maybe wheels and tires later lmao

Does that stuff really work? I've looked at stuff like this and it's usually petroleum distillates - oil essentially. I know that Eastwood paints makes a black spray paint that is designed to spray black plastic trim and it actually etches into the trim. Looks good and it's a permanent solution. Problem is it's also $25 a can, so not cheap. I'll probably do it eventually, just gotta figure out how to get that lower bumper valance off. The service manual helps some but it's not entirely clear. Until then it's Captain Plastidip to the rescue!

Just dropped mine off at a detail shop. $350 for an extensive wash, claybar, wax and seal. Hope it turns out as good as he says. The black Tundra that was finished was like looking in a mirror.

Yeah that stuff is amazing. It made a believer out of me. It's not like Sn oily armor all or back to black goo. Doesn't attract dust and dirt either. Hey if plasti dip works for ya that's cool too

+1.

Started using Aerospace a couple years ago and have turned other people onto it also. Love the stuff.

Added a Corsa catback exhaust. That muthaf***ing resonator just wouldn't come out for about an hour of pulling, banging, cursing... Damn near hurt my pride. Lol

I'll try the 303!

Hey, what do you guys use on tires to make them shiny that won't eat away Plastidip? Any thoughts?

Try to loosen your OTA pipes at the midpipe and rotate it where it needs to be then tighten it all down at once.

Bad thing is they're welded in. The owner before me had it welded . Guess it's time to go to the shop.
