Installed my Cervinis hood... Minus the vents since apparently they shipped separately. At least it's not an issue until they get here Tuesday.

Yea I know... I gotta adjust the front latch a hair to the right but it's roasting out there and I'm calling it until later.

Just finished and wanted to share with u guys, Koni rear shocks, Whiteline LCAs and Brackets, Barton Short Throw, Royal Purple synchromax fluid.

I also removed the plasti dip, and gonna order some wrap to do the front, the spoiler, the roof and mirrors. I'm still debating between gloss black or carbon fiber. What do you guys think?

Well that's it for today. 😊

What do you sand them with? 2500-4000 W/Dry or what and what kind of tint?

Everything is wetsanded with a little dish soap added to make sure things are constantly degreased. I begin with 400 to make sure there all of the imperfections are removed. Once the lights have a haze that is even and consistent I follow with 800, 1000, and then finish with 2000 grit. It is a lot of prep work, but the final results are worth it.

In order to ensure no damage is done to the plastic I wash them with Dawn dish soap before drying them completely. Then I wipe the lights down with alcohol and ensure everything is lint free.

I use VHT Nite Shades and spray a light even coat for the first coat. 10 min later I add a second coat. Once that base of VHT is dry I inspect the lights to ensure even coverage. If everything looks good I will use a grey scuff pad loaded with dish soap and barely rub the VHT in order to give a surface for the clear to adhere properly to.

Alcohol is used once again, and I make sure there is no dust, lint, etc present. I use an acrylic enamel clear and spray a light coat. At this point the lights will look terrible, and they will have some orange peel. Too many times people over spay paint without realizing that it will settle and smooth out. After 10 to 15 minutes I add another coat of clear and repeat the process once,or twice more with the final coat being what I call a wet coat. The clear is applied just a bit heavier than the other coats.

Then after 12-24 hours I will place 2000 water paper on a sponge and remove any and all imperfections. If I need to reclear (which is rare) I do this now and wait another 12 -24 hours and wetsand with 2000 one more time.

Once you buff, polish, seal, and wax the lights they will look better than new.

Took her to the dealer since she was still making a tapping noise... Looks like they'll be opening up the motor before 50K miles to do the timing chain....

Also getting the paint correction done by a good friend of mine right now. CQAURTZ goes on tomorrow night or Sunday. She won't be driven much after this. Car cover came in today.... Replacement 3rd brake light installed.

You guys are making me sad.

The county chip sealed my subdivision 3 weeks ago. Drove the car the day before and not since. Car is sitting in the garage just waiting for the road crews to clean up the mess and loose gravel. My other rigs are covered with dust. You would think I lived on a gravel road.

So I guess I did nothing by polish her a little and look at her sitting there in the garage. The ultimate garage queen right now.

I would assume it would have something to do with what followed his statement, I'm not entirely sure though.
