Re: What did you do with your Mustang today

It wasn't today but, Last Wednesday at 10 pm i decided that i wasn't going to stare at my X pipe any longer and installed it. Took my time and was done in about two hours. Then i proceeded to gracefully wake the neighbors up by test driving it around the block... It certainly changed the sound of the car and woke up the flowmaster's that are on the car. Love the sound of it now.
Here are a couple pics...

Re: What did you do with your Mustang today

I drove up and down Woodward Avenue (Michigan) in the annual Woodward Dream Cruise for the first time. My brother was with me and we think between 50-75% of the cars were Mustang's of various eras, both parked and driving. They were all over, very cool, and very distinctive - I don't think any two were alike. This is the third Mustang in my driving lifetime and is the best. The first was well before the Dream Cruise existed, but still was still a nice cruising machine for me (don't laugh, I will say it had a "II" in the name, but on the positive side, it also had a "Mach" in the name.) The current Stang fit in much better today with the top down and perfect weather!!

Yeah there was a mustang rally, I wanted to go to it, and that cruise. But they are 1600 miles away. I bet it was fun, and nice car.

Re: What did you do with your Mustang today

Following up on my other post, I just checked something about my first Mustang. (Even though they were not that popular, I loved it.) Mine was orange and it was only about 1 of ~6700 (4%) of all Mustang's produced that year (approx. 153,173), so it was kind of distinctive! I'm still waiting for Ford to publish numbers for 2012, but based on 2011 numbers, my current Mustang is 1 of ~60-ish, so probably a similar percentage due to lower total production.

We went, and it *WAS AWESOME*!!! There were other gatherings of Mustangs as well, and many Mustang's in some of the "classic car" areas throughout the Dream Cruise areas. I didn't take any pictures when I realized I couldn't do them justice, but maybe something would have been better than nothing.

And thanks for the positive comment about the car. I work near Ford World HQ and I want to get a good pic that shows the car, the building and the flags. I'm finding certain times of the day are better to get the sun at the right elevation.

Changed the oil today. I refuse to let the oil even change colors. Always looks like new oil in my car.

I've always loved smoked tails with sequential flashers but I followed another new edge around with them a bit and really didn't like it. Thinking I should mark that money for an offroad H.
