Awesome! Also, cool how low the Ford is in the background of your pic. What is that a new Taurus?

That's cool. Your stang looks better than their rides, but I'm biased.

The person you bought it from would likely have seen it happen in such a short period of time.

Maybe the driver liked the car so much they cut a side deal? Who knows. If they don't secure a car down, and they are supposed to be professional car haulers, this just doesn't make sense. Did you get a VIN number? If you were curious enough, you could run a CarFax report and see if it was actually marked as having been totaled or transferred to someone else's name. Just a thought. But I'm with you on the deal that got away, however it happened.

jjsg09, It *is* very nice and clean! I'm trying to keep mine as nice as yours, but I'm also trying to decide if I stop any further mods and try to get a 50th anniversary edition when they come out. I manage the technology at my company and with previous cars have *many* times had to haul stuff from one office to another and vowed never to do that with this car. I've sliced and diced seats in previous cars, dirtied up the carpet, and scratched the interior plastic of the cabin and trunk, all inadvertently, but it inevitably happens when you are moving cardboard boxes, metal case computers, tools, etc. I've at least limited this to nothing in the back seat (I don't even keep the original floor mats in the car - I use junky old carpet almost all the time), and only very little in the trunk padded excessively. Whether I keep this one or get a 50th anniversary edition, I want mine to look as nice as yours!!
I hear what ur saying but I got lots of pictures and there was a huge ammount of paperwork and police reports.

I did the throttle cable mod, and washed off the love bugs. I love the cable mod. Makes driving much more enjoyable.

I asked about this a while back, had a response that it wasn't really a big deal and more work to do it than any actual outcome. So what's the good from doing this?

Butch, basically you pull your gas petal up and you see about an inch and a half of slack in the cable. This is all under the dash. I used three zip ties to take up the slack. The mod moves your gas petal up closer to being even with the brake petal. I find my shifting is alot smoother just because of the gas petal being higher up. Also if there is to much slack you wont be able to get wot because your petal will be on the ground like mine was.

Re: What did you do with your Mustang today

So how come we don't tighten the throttle cable? Wouldn't this be better than a "modding" the pedal? It seems like a work around rather than a fix for the problem.

I did mine today. I used a part of the plastic hose from the spray foam insulation "great stuff". Worked like a charm. 10 minutes and done. Throttle responce was impressive!
