production problem?

I'm beginning to think ford has a serious production problem with mustang. It's been 5 weeks since I placed my order and it's STILL IN PROCESSING? What the heck. It's summer, peak time for these vehicles. Dealers should have an abundance of them. But nobody does its incredible.

Yeah. The brembo brakes cars are taking forever. A guy in town canceled his order and got a smoking deal on a taurus sho.

Wrote to ford yesterday and asked what the holdup on the mustangs were. After all, this is the time of year that dealers should be stocked with a bunch for summer. I'm offering them a guaranteed sale, and they can't produce? Somthings wrong. I'll let you guys know what I get for an answer, if ford does answer.

5 weeks is nothing and plus when they start, it only takes hours to build and days to ship.

Just relax

+1 the production line is stupid fast. Something like 2hours and 45 minutes to completely assemble a car and roll it off the line.

Oh, very wrong. It takes 18 hrs to build a mustang. Down from 24 a few years ago.

I guess "How it's Made" is wrong then. I mean they even said a Corvette z06 only took roughly 8-9 hours per build if I recall correctly.

Well I got word from my dealer today that my car will be built in June and scheduled for a July delivery. That is absolutely absurd. I ordered it on April 3rd. There has to be a production or parts problem somewhere. Worst of all, when I emailed ford, I got an email back saying I'd receive a reply within 2 business days. That was 2 weeks ago. I'm not being instilled with a great deal of confidence here.

Re: production problem?

back in 01 I purchased my car and it took 6 weeks to deliver, now that probably meant they had a car that matched what I wanted begin built with no home so I got it~ no idea.

They might just be back ordered as it were with so many pre orders going in.... or who knows they might share the line with another car and have to take time back and forth with another type~

You really did buy at one of the worst points. The early orders and the dealer orders all beat you. It will be worth the wait.
