performance springs are nice as far as being stiff to kill body roll when hitting a corner hard if you're building a corner carver...they do a better job then cut springs in this situation because of spring rates, but then again cut springs are free lol

for a drag guy a cut spring is great because they aren't as stiff and allow the body to shift weight better then a stiffer spring.

when you pull them you can pretty much see how they need to be cut...it has to sit in there a certain way so you can easily see that...there's a write up on ModdedMustangs with pics on cutting springs.

Cheapest route would be removing your cats & gutting them. Those code readers are crap IMO. Just gives you a place to CHECK. I'd just compare prices between websites & find out what installation costs that way & also just see what it cost for a muffler shop to fabricate & install one. Might be cheaper for them to fabricate & install.

Unless I'm missing something I would think an empty cat is just the same as a piece of pipe. But I don't KNOW that

yes and no...yes it'll work the same as far as not being as restrictive...no as in the larger chamber now empty will cause turbulance in the exhaust flow and can hurt the velocity whereas tubing doesn't

-------------------

ok so today i set up an appointment at Discount Tire for tomorrow...gonna get a set of torque thrust wheels. good way to spend a grand
