I shouldve done that when i did my spacer install as well. Looks like ive gotta pull everything back off again. Which isnt too bad since now i can clean it too. Also, does anyone here have the SR CAI from american muscle? Ive been thinking of swapping my K&N CAI for that one since the gains are a bit better.

What's the difference between the 8.8 an the 9 rear end? Cause I seen one on Craigslist around my area wasn't for sure to pick it up cause I hear a lot of talk about 8.8

The 9 rear was used in a bunch of older ford (and often placed in chevy) cars if i remember correctly. The 8.8 is a more modern take on that used in newer fords. That being said, i believe a few companies such as moser still make a 9 rear end for modern cars

Would it make any difference from getting the 8.8 or the 9?

As long as you find one that fits your car for example if you have a 00, then any rear end from a 99-04 will fit, where as the 94-98 may be a tad shorter length wise.

I've done my own engine work, welded on and cut off exhaust, replaced radiator, fan, evacuated and recharge AC, lowered, electrical and paint on my car myself. Haha pretty ballsy for a 17 y/o with no automotive training eh?
