What transmission do you have? My tremek 3650 has difficulty shifting into 2nd when it's cold. But fixes itself when warmed up.

Re: 2nd gear popping popping out

My TR3650 in my '02 GT pops out of second as well. So does my buddy's '88 GT with a T-5. It's just a quirk. Mine used to pop all the time until I started shifting into second and holding the shifter knob back for a second while accelerating. I haven't had it pop out in a very very long time since I've made that move a habit.

There is a upgraded syncro kit from ford. I have the part number at work. I'll look it up tomorrow and post it. Had mine put in under warranty along time ago and no problems since. May want to replace shift fork, throw out bearing while your in there. Just my 2 cents.

Are you feeling a slight catch going into second or when down shifting? Any other symptoms?
