Gettin on it with A/C on?

Can you get on it with your A/C on? Was watching Velocity network and did racing around the track said he had the AC on cause it was really hot outside that particular day. Will that kill your compressor and/or your motor?

You will definitely be down on power if you're running your AC.

I've never gone higher than like 3500RPM with the A/C on, but wondered after watching that dude rip around the track with the AC on. I always thought your AC shut off at WOT.

Back when my Mach was stock (only k&n short throw) I let my pops drive the car at the Tulsa raceway (mid America ford shelby meet) and he made one of the best times (to that date). With Ac on full blast 105 outside temp track no idea ha hott as h€||. 13.06 107mph maybe can't rem exact mph. Great track prep that day tho. Also the rubber left from some of the sick cars out played into it as well ha.

I drove Roush-race-prepped mustangs at the Bondurant high performance driving school in 105-110 degree weather in Arizona in the Summer, and believe me I ran that AC a lot at full race speeds on their track. All it did was zap power.

I didn't get over 3k RPMs with it today, but it still sounds like its towing a yacht!
