Shelby gt is just a gt with a few bolt ons. The gt500 is a completely different engine, trans, etc.

Re: Difference - Shelby GT and Shelby GT500?

as said above the Shelby GT is just a GT that is done at Shelby in Vegas, the GT500 is produced by Ford and they put a Shelby sticker on it (SVT designed it).

The Shelby GT doesnt hold value very well in terms on loan value from the bank as its just a GT with a much higher price overall.

The only performance difference from regular GT is CAI with tune and it's lowered. Everything else is just badging and cosmetic. Ford screwed this up they should have offered it as a non SC 5.4 L engine.

Wrong. Hurst Short throw shifter, custom x pipe wit axle back exhaust, front upper and lower strut bars, rear lower sway bars, and 3.55 gears. All this is considered performance wether on the strip or on a road course. Plus ur CAI, and 1 1/2 in lowering springs.
