Re: how much did you pay for your mustang.

Getting colors like GHIG or DIB or any special tri coat or hi metallic are going to cost more because of the paint process. They upcharge I think $3-400 for those colors too. That being said it is worth the extra money imo if you really love the color.

I refused to take any color besides GHIG, even before I had seen the color in person.

Re: how much did you pay for your mustang.

I think you did fine. The more options a car has the more negotiating can be done on the price as well IMO. I know guys that were able to negotiate thousands below invoice on GT Premiums that were loaded... Not as much room in a base car. That being said I only needed the tech package so...

Your right, I checked, it was 34,850 sticker, I was adding on tax in my head, and yes, that was 31k after all rebates.

All the coats are metallic except for Race Red, but yet, Candy Red is the only one that is priced higher.

Re: how much did you pay for your mustang.

Candy Red and GHIG are tri-coats. They're not just metallic, they have a pearlescent sheen to them too. I haven't seen Candy Red in person, but GHIG has gold undertones that will shine through when light hits it. Very, very cool color.

Re: how much did you pay for your mustang.

Just bought TODAY 2013 v6 performance package, recaro seats. 24.2k. guess it wasn't as good as the girl who got 22.2 or something w/o recaro seats. i think i did ok though.
i couldn't find a dealer to go lower than 22.9 for the performance package only near me. i heard so many people raving about the recaro seats, i had to get it.

The main reason I didn't get those seats and got the leather is because they can't be heated, and they aren't electronically controlled, I'm lazy

Re: how much did you pay for your mustang.

yeah i heard from you guys and others online that the seats are so worth it. I haven't even sat in them..lol. prob not such a good idea. but i heard that if your not husky, they'll fit. and i'm relatively slim. I gotta wait 2 months potentially to get my Stang...what to do in the meantime?

Re: how much did you pay for your mustang.

In the meantime, just read up on Mustangs. That's what I did. Never owned one before, but now I have a general idea of what to do, what not to do, and what go fast goodies are best bang for the buck. Oh, and order a Ford Mustang brochure from Ford for an additional $750 rebate.

Re: how much did you pay for your mustang.

whaaaattt?? $750 rebate? I just did from their website. i guess they'll apply it when i pay the balance after i put down the deposit? maybe they can add a military rebate as well.

what's your opinion of the best bang for your buck mod. how do you guys feel about that brace under the hood you can add that reduces the understeer?

Re: how much did you pay for your mustang.

You won't notice the STB unless you autox. Mine has nothing and it hugs corners better than any car I've owned. It literally settles into the corner and grips.

They did mine. From the time I ordered mine until it was delivered, the rebate went up $500 more, they gave me that too.
