Found a new form of mustang code today. When a fellow mustang owner requests help on his mustang you shall go and help out, or lead him the right direction.

That's exactly what I said at the beginning we are family and we should always help each other. It doesn't have to be a lot but just enough to say we tried

Just gotta add this. If you have 20 inch rims or bigger. I will probably ignore you. You don't get the "stang wave" because it hurts my eyes and my head.

19"+ are not my cup O tea, but I will not snub a fellow Mustang'er. Besides, 20's don't look bad at all on the bigger 2005+ stangs. Ricing a Mustang out will not get a wave/nod, but I've never seen a riced stang in person yet.

You are right. That does look good. My apologies, I overreacted.

Let me explain. I just saw a fox body, I believe '89. I love foxes, amazing cars. This was a ragtop, painted glittery purple, LIFTED on 24's. I had the same reaction to a Mustang! that I usually only have to Smart Cars, Fiat 500's, PT Cruisers, Scion xB's and Nissan Cubes. Disdain and disgust because it was an insult to the beauty that is automotive engineering.

Agreed its a lot for a fox body to go over 18s, the design of the car is too low to put rims of 24in on

Well my friend I agree with you 100%. I'm used to the wave hello or at least a peace sign. I had race bikes before and my jeep now. So I'm the first to say that YES we should say hi and we should as much as possible stop and help others ( as long as its safe ). I pulled over once for a guy in a new jeep wrangler and I think both my wife and his had the same reaction......why? What r u doing? But us guys knew off the bat what the deal was, I helped him out and went on my way. It felt really nice, that's the truth. I feel very passionately about this topic and the principles behind it.

The mustang crowd out hear in Montreal is so so, I'll get guys on the highway slow down and start waving and talking to me and an other time I had I guy in a brand new 5.0 conv. park right next to me and almost did it on purpose not to even look at me!! What a deuch!
Anyhow, the point is treat others the way you want to be treated.

Well nobody waves in Tampa... Last night, I drove an hour south to Bradenton to go to the track and I had to cruise around for a while waiting for my friend. Wow, what a difference. There were Mustangs everywhere waving at me and staring at my car.

This morning I took him on his first little road trip (the track an hour away was the farthest I'd driven). I went to Ft Myers about two hours away to go to Bass Pro. That was a fun drive... There was an old man in an 05-09 Shelby following me cutting through traffic for a good while. I also felt my governor for the first time And hit 9,000 miles :'(

Bradenton and Siesta Key area is a beautiful place. My pop used own a condo in Siesta Key. I think it was at Siesta Harbor if I remember correctly. Wonderful beach!

Yeah, definitely... I lived in Bradenton for almost a year, just moved back to Tampa a couple months ago. Siesta is the nicest beach in the area IMO

I pulled up to the gas station today and at the same time another mustang pulled up with me. I paid for my gas and a drink but I was like 50 cents short so I started walking to put it back and the other mustang owner said "don't worry bro, I got ya" and paid for my drink. When I offered him what money I had left he just said " Just catch me next time kid. Just looking out for another pony driver"

Nice!! I saw a 5.0 on the highway on the way home from work so I revved my car to get his attention then gave him a thumbs up since his ride looked good and he revved his back and it sounded awesome!! Then we weeved thru traffic for a bit Until I had to exit. It was a fun time

So far this week, I've gotten 3 waves and a nod and no denials. I'm finding that the younger dudes are cool, they just aren't always the first to initiate the code. But so far, they are more than welcome to acknowledge if you initiate.

That's what it's all about. It's almost insignificant and was some loose change, but what a gesture!
We need more of that type of behavior. The world would be a better place.

Yes! A few words of encouragement always help.
