inlet- outlet - Mustang Evolution

inlet- outlet

i am changing the heater core in my mustang and i had to break a heater hose to get it off and i can t figure out if it was an inlet or outlet, the hose is the one that comes from the drivers side of the block and goes into the drivers side of the heater core
