Help Please

Hey guys I need some help. A while back my car began stalling while driving every time I drove it for over like five minutes. Now it won't even start. I bought a new battery and installed new points in the distributer and it seemed to fix it or So i thought. Yesterday on the freeway though it began again and after pulling over it wouldn't start up. I would really appreciate some help, I had some exciting plans for my 68 in the near future but now it's all on hold until i fix this. All help welcomed thanks.

I just got done talking with the mechanic. It turns out the timing was messed up and I needed a new condenser and distributer cap. Well I'll see how it goes, hopefully that's all. Thanks for the help though.

Yeah for sure! Well now that my car is running again i wanted to ask something else, this happened even before the stalling, sometimes my car won't turn on unless i pump the gas or just put it to the floor. What could this be?
