Smile Racing Stripes

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has added racing stripes to their ride. I am considering doing it. I got a quote of $700.00 to have them painted on but was considering doing it myself IF it wasn't too hard to do.

I'm looking at 10 inch stripes for a 2010 V6. If you couldn't tell by my screen name, I'm a girl so I want pink!

I always thought paint was the only way to go. But I was surprised to learn this week on Velocity or Speed channel that the stripes on the original 1965 GT-350 Shelby Mustangs were vinyl except for a very few of the first cars. I would have sworn they were paint. The original white with blue stripes is my all time favorite Mustang color combo.

The base color is metallic silver. I found a site that will do the stripes up for me, I just have to put them on. Stripes and rocker decals for $200.00 plus tax. Does that sound good?

@Soccerluvr4, I don't know what that is.

Re: Racing Stripes

You must be educated in the art of plasti dip!
Go on Youtube, type in Plasti dip, and watch every single video that shows up. After that you should have a good understanding of it.

It definetly isn't the way to go if you want a nice and permanent finish though, it was made to be temporary.
