Tips or cut

I have 40s flowmasters with a catted shorty x-pipe (BBK) and I was wondering if it would be louder if I cut them after the muffler (not dumped) ??? What do y'all think it sounds really good now but I want it a bit louder

Re: Tips or cut

if you cut them after the mufflers then yes it's dumped....that being said it's gonna be loud and annoying...i've had it done like that before with flow 40s...since 40s like to drone so much you will enjoy the loudness for a few weeks...then you're gonna be like "dear god why" every time you reach cruising speed.

if you don't want tips then do turndowns just before the rear bumper

+1

There IS such a thing as too loud. Maintain a nice, beastly growl.

Btw I don't have 3in piping there 21/2 then they go to about 21/4 ,so I'll still be pretty loud
