Fox or Cobra?

I currently drive an 87 gt, i love the car and the fox style but recently a good friend of mine offered me a pretty good deal on his 2001 Cobra. All original except for 3.73 gears and 2003 cobra wheels for 8500, includes the original wheels and a car cover. My fox needs some work, will need a rebuild this winter along with a little bit of body work. Unfortunately having both isnt an option, the 87 is my only car so if i get the cobra il have to get rid of the fox and i would get a ranger for winter. Dont want to drive either in the snow, i live in ohio, so im just looking for a little input to help me decide. What would you guys do?

Cobra. I've played the restore game with older cars and it's very expensive. The Cobra is newer, better all around and "should" be more reliable.

I agree, my fox isnt in too bad of shape but what it does need is going to be a pain. Needs floor boards and it has a few rust spots on the roof that i have no idea how i would go about repairing. Unfortunately 25 years takes a toll on cars, especially a mustang that im sure has been beat to hell long before i bought it. The cobra i know for sure has been taken care of, my friend is the 2nd owner and he got it off an older man that bought it because he wife liked it lol

I would normally say Fox... I love those cars. But since you mentioned rust and that price is pretty good, Cobra.

Take the cobra and flip it.. The 01' cobras won't hold there value as well as a 03-04.. Then buy a badass supercharged or turbo fox.. I paid less than 6k for mine

You must have a horrible record or live in a bad area... My 03 cobra was 120 a month when I was 21

Did you try a different insurance company? My wife's policy on her old neon was 160 per month, switched companies and it dropped to 60 per month. Nothing else changed but the company.

I just want to see you get what you really want, not what the insurance company wants you to have.
