When i had the Roush 575hp tune i couldnt even spin the tires in first. The car felt strong but had no punch.
Tried a VMP tune and oh boy did i see a different beast, everytime i would floor it i would be thrown hard on my seat.

How would you describe the feeling with the 625 tune.
Do you hear a whine with the adition of the cai ?

I remember reading that with a JLT big air and about 10lbs of boost there was a very audible whine on the tvs.
Of course mine without the cai is quiet as hell.

Possibly, not sure so I can't argue. I remember reading they made it quieter, idk why you would want it quieter though, I love that whine! The FRPP And KB still whine good even on normal 6-7lbs

Louder cause this design has the open CAI with a slightly different tune from original Roush 575 HP tune. But louder than stock.

Re: She has arrived

I know I didn't do this for the mpg but just to let you all know on my daily drive to work today, open road I was getting 24+ MPG with my 3:73 gears. Get into it a bit and it is still 22+. But once city driving I'm looking at more like 19-20 being conservative. So pretty much on target with what I was getting except getting a bit better mileage on the open road. Same thing happened to my last supercharged vehicle. Something makes me think I will be seeing more like 16 for a bit. I can't wait to get it on the dyno and see what she is really putting down.

And as asked above? What about the throttle response and low end torque (from a stop)?

Some have questioned roush's tune as being tame and have switched to VMP.

+1, need more details about the power distribution and feeling when you floor it.

It is there from a stop when I floor it. The boost gauge from Roush isn't working right so had to take back to dealer. I'll mount up the GoPro and post a link to it once I get it back and play around this weekend. Trying to be tame and let it break in. I have noticed that it is better to shift in the power bands if you want the most pull. I think it's good but yes probably a safe tune. Once out of warranty I will start playing around with tunes. Unless a sponsor comes through and wants to promote their tunes and guarantees the tune as well as the blower for my same 3yr/36000 warranty.

Oh, and yes turn off traction control! Lets the car roast tires in 1, 2, 3, and 4. I can squeak tires at 5th but haven't pushed it yet.

Agreed. It is quiet but you hear a slight whine when higher in the RPMs. I do miss the windup sound I got with a procharger on my last vehicle but that 'windup' also related to a slight lag from a stop. I like having the power from a stop when I step on it. Plus, it almost acts as a sleeper with being quiet. . However, the dramatic increase in sound is what comes out the back. WOT is just night and day from prior. Love it!!

---------- Post added at 08:15 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:12 PM ----------

BTW, my problem with the Roush boost gauge is that it only stays on the negative vac side. I don't see it cross over zero into positive boost even in WOT. I'm expecting it to push up toward +10.

Wait, all the articles I ran across talk about the bypass and it either not wired up right or faulty and not getting boost? Is that what is happened to you? I really wonder what these guys are going to find then. Wish they had a dyno to check. I might call them in the morning and have them first validate that I'm getting boost first. Cause no reason to waste time on the wiring of a gauge if it is truly not getting 100% of what it is tuned for.
