That does ruin a day for sure but it's nice to know some people out there are honest and take responsibility.

It's nice to know some people still have the respect to own up to their mistakes. Be sure to let them know that.

You got lucky! I was in a hit and run also, I was in class and I went out to where I parked and my car was messed up pretty bad. I have to get a new front bumper, both headlight covers, new grill, fix the hood, fix the fenders, get a new radiator support, new chin spoiler, pull everything out (Whole front in got pushed back so when I open both my doors they hit my fenders now.), and possibly a few more things me and my dad didn't notice. I'm getting it fixed next week, got it estimated at $6,000 in repairs. Thank god for insurance! Only good thing is I am upgrading quite a few things.

I would say under $1000. I just had similar placement of damage but in a worse degree and it cost me $1000.

Not as bad as getting up to go to work and seeing that your cars is not
in the drive, or your Motorcycle. Both have happened to me, the Bike
from inside my gated community, crooked gate gaurd.

Nice! Great knowing honest people still exist and don't need an authority figure standing there to make sure they do the right thing.... Oh wait... Sucks dude, like you said it's a good excuse to get the GT cover!

Well I got the estimate, somehow it's more like 2500 and ill be keeping the same bumper witch sucks lol. On a side note my buddy got his 2000 V6 hit and run'd while he was at the store about 3 months ago and his insurance company said he must have hit a pole or standing object, so he was forced to pay it out of pocket

$2500 Holy Cow!!! Take the insurance check and shop around.
You could do it yourself. The bumper cover is easy to change.
Buy the one you want have it color matched and pop it on.
Use the left over cash for some mods or put it in the bank for
a rainy day....

$2500! Their hosin you bro! Like said above. Shop around, the other party's insurance company man not even approve that amount. But for some reason if they do, get them to cut you a check and find the bumper you want pre painted to save you some money.

Well the thing is I live in Vancouver B.C Canada and out here everyone has to use ICBC for at the least basic insurance, then you can either add with them or go to a third party for extra coverage. So there really is no options on the price but it makes it a bit simpler when accidents happen.
