Natchez Trace Pkwy

if anyone is looking for a nice calm ride through the South East. I just did a 12 hour run (6 hours both ways) run on the Natchez Trace Pkwy. Locked my cruise control in at 62.5mph (GPS) and rolled. There were stretches of road that I would have loved to WOT and challenged the suspsension however the Police patrol was frequent enough to keep me honest. Nice shaded trip through, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi.

I hope this is the right forum, I did look for the Trip forum.

I'm heading that way in a couple weeks in the GT with some buddies from the SVO club. We're going to stay in Pigeon Forge and hit the Tail of the Dragon one of those days. We're doing recon fir a GTG in the springtime.

I did the dragon on my FJR1300. Watch for Psychos on bikes. That ride will not be quite as calm as the Natchez Trace, but certainly a lot of fun. Good luck and becareful. You have to stop in and get your dragon sticker when you're done and observe the tree of shame!

Do not speed on the trace. It is a federal road with federal police and fines. With that said it is a gorgeous road and great ride. Did you make it down far enough to see the tornado damage?

Oh, I plan to pick up a shirt and sticker. And take plenty if pics. Gonna hit the Harley Dealers too for poker chips. I trade them with some buddies on a Harley forum I'm on. We're thinking about using the Dragon for our poker run for the GTG in the spring.

Yeah, like I said I pegged my Cruise at about 62 and stayed there the whole way.
Yes I went through the tornado damaged area, stark contrast to the trees and fauna (yes Fauna) that you are driving in before you get into the storm damaged area.
I had one cop during the night return trip that spun around to follow me for 5-6 miles almost trying to push me to go faster. After he saw that I wasn't drunk he did a U turn and followed someone else. Very aggresive.
