I bought this tuner from American Muscle in June.

http://www.americanmuscle.com/x3-cus...er-9904gt.html

It comes loaded with three basic tunes, Street/Performance/Racing, but you get free custom tunes for life from Bama Performance, which is part of AM. It's easy to load custom tunes to the tuner and flash your ECU. Bama's customer service is excellent. They work with you to get your tunes dialed in just right. For instance, I'm on my 5th revision from the original basic tune. I had some pinging at wide open throttle and they had me data log after the revisions to evaluate how my engine is running. They have been very responsive in getting my tunes right. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the support Azure! That was the perfect short summary of AM/Bama Performance. I couldn't have said it better myself!

Mxwilly387,

Check out our Bama SF3 tuner for your Mach1. It sounds like this is exactly what you're looking for! It's easy to use and gives you 3 custom Bama tunes right from the start. Bama has a TON of experience tuning every model Mustang, especially Mach1's! In fact, AMDanBailer used to have a full bolt-on 2004 Mach1 that went 12.4@ 116 on slicks with a Bama Race tune.

Needless to say, I think you'll be very happy with a Bama SF3 tuner. If you have any questions about Dan's Mach1 feel free to give him a shout or if you have questions about any of our products, you can hit me up too!

Thanks everyone for the help, that will probably be the tuner I go with. I was thinking about the one that has the screen display cause it looks bad *** and be cool mounted someone but I'm just going to go with that.

I think I can help you out here . I'm the one with the 04 Mach1! As far as Performance goes, I had SLP Long Tubes, Off Road X-Pipe, Catback, JLT CAI, BBK 65MM Throttle Body, Under drive pulley's, FRPP 4.10s Gears and a Bama tune!

Suspension wise I have lower control arms, welded sub frame connectors, Lowering springs and sway bars!

I ran 12.4-12.6 Consistently with this set up a set of warn out slicks. My best 60ft that day was a 2.0! With some more time, cooler weather and a good launch I'll be headed 12.0-12.2 easily, possibly the elevens with a trap of 116.8.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions!

-Dan

Interesting with the BBK TB. Is it a twin setup like the stocker, but just larger? Also, did you keep the stock 24lb injectors? I didn't know the TB's helped the Mach's out that much. This is cool.

Wow I was thinking you had heads as well. So my car should be around 13.0 plus or minus alittle bit I'd imagine then. Can't wait to see what she will do.

The Throttle body didn't add a crazy amount of power but it was definitely worth it. We did a Dyno test with it and it picked up 11RWHP however the gain in throttle response definitely made the purchase worth it! I purchased this as a platform mod since I'm getting ready to strap a Vortech V3 to her . I also left the injectors stock.

I didn't change the heads or anything like that. Your definitely low 13's high 12's. I ran a 13.3 bone stock !

I hope this helps guys. Feel free to shoot me a PM any time you guys have a question, need some assistance or just want to chat!

That's my goal, ~13.3-13.4 with my current mods. I'm hoping my "driver mod" will activate someday

13.3-13.4 is definitely a realistic goal. Is your Mach 5speed or Auto? With CAI/Tune and a Tire I was able to break into the 12's pretty easily!

Yup, it's 5spd with 373's and JLT CAI - using the shaker. I have P275 Goodyear F1 all season street tires on the back. I think most of the prob is me and my launches.

Did you upgrade the driver mod to the newer version? May have to give it that data update. Or scrap it altogether and go with something else.

Azure,

Yeah with those mods and a good launch you'll easily go low 13's! Those all season tires may be hurting you to, but that goal still shouldn't be a problem. These cars are rated at 13.2 @ 106 bone stock with a professional driver!

Best of luck when you shoot down to the track, let me know if I can be of any assistance!
