I know my 01 Gt with full bolts on's has trouble spinning the tires in 3rd and my girlfriend has a 02 V6 stock and that bi!ch is WEAK on power.

Like I've said I don't know what's done. Culd be rear end and internal work. Idk. The guy that sold it to me was drifting it when he was showing me she drove good. The back end is lifted about an inch but that is all ik.

If he used it to drift than I'm almost positive it has gears and suspension mods, and also to drift you need power to spin the wheels. I personally think there's a lot done to it. Like I said my girlfriend has a 02 v6 and I can't get it sideways if I tried my hardest its just week on power so if he was drifting in it it has to have motor work/ gears/suspension mods

I'm sticking firmly to my original position. If he's drifting it it would have a huge fi system in it. There is no combination of gears, internals or driveline modification on decent tires that could be done to visually stockish appearance that would allow a na v6 to chirp 4th. Or third. Especially if he hit 40 in first.

It wasn't built as a drift machine. He was just drifting in it. I've done it lots. Hand break was clipped so u just use the clutch to get the back end swinging. Video will be added soon. Just waiting for my next day off to be able to go out and do this.

My '98 GT chirped 3rd a few times... I had 3.27s and WAY more torque than you. No way a single-port V6 is gonna do that with any sort of decent tires. Maybe you were feeling incredibly old shocks/bushings shifting the weight of the car over?

I believe that you that your rearend kicked out. However I don't think it was due to power or gearing. Something weird might have been going on with your car... Try to make it happen again

Exactly^ you must've had a good day and the position on a slick road. But spinning in 2nd & 3rd is hard to believe.
