They said,"That is a really nice car, whoever buys it will be lucky".

They never said a word, just make sure you dont have a check engine light on and you will be fine. Unless.........you trade it into Carmax because they will want everything returned to stock.

Did u guys tell them what it had or did they inspect it? Is it recommended to tell them before they find out? I thought aftermarket parts lowers the value?

After market does lower the price. I was offered $5750 for my 2005 gt premium vert in mint condition with less than 45k miles on it. I think I made a fool of myself with the language I used.lol

No one is gonna give you extra for aftermarket parts. Dealers could care less. I left everything on my 07 and they offered me $14k to start. I told them not gonna happen and they gave me 2 more offers which I declined. They finally asked what I would take and I told them $18k which they agreed on. The car had 45k on the clock.

Went to a dealer yesterday to trade for the 5.0. They never looked under the hood or mentioned the headers, other than saying the car really sounds good. They did however bust my balls for the 4.10 gears. The appraiser killed the car twice trying to test drive it. I once again regret putting 4.10 gears in my car. I was impressed with the ride quality, not so much the power. But then again I had a salesman in the back seat , didn't want him to scream like a little school girl. So the search continues.

Depends on your area and the Fair Market Value!.. If your in a area that loves cars with aftermarket parts then your good!.. I know I my area there are several dealerships that will automatically offer about $1,500 over Fair Market value if you have like full exhaust and a tune!.. But like I said it all depends on your area!.. Happy Hunting!..

Making the drive to Columbus Ohio tomorrow . I told the salesman straight up it had 4.10s in it. He said he would just tell the appraiser what he needed for my car. Hopefully I come home in a shiny black 2012, if not I'm just gonna throw a SC on this one and call it a day. I hate the trading game.

just keep looking if it doesn't happen. Slap a blower on yours and you will be limited at 450 pretty much. That was my hang up on going FI with my 07. Go 5.0 and you can get close to 450whp NA.

I hear ya. The 2012 will keep my payments the same. A blower will put a dent in the savings, not a good thing while I'm trying to get a business started.

I made a deal wooohooo. Drove 300mi round trip to look at the car, they wanted to over charge me $840 in taxes so I walked out. Woke up the next morning an said f.. it, I'm not letting this one get away. So I made the 300mi trip again. Now all I have to figure out is how to get my $840 back. I must recant my earlier statement about the power, thers a big difference between the salesman riding with you and not. Thanks for the input guys.

The rest is stock, gona leave it that way for now. I think it could use a 3.55 gear if anything. I think the ground effects and chin spoiler are aftermarket, not sure. Does the spoiler on the rear have bolts, the tape is coming loose on one side and I don't need an aluminum spoiler going through someone's windshield . I was told It's made by CDC .

It should be bolted down if installed correctly. I would double check it by removing the trunk liner and seeing if there are in fact 4 bolts along the length of the spoiler protruding into the trunk. Also I would make sure it is water proof still too
