Just a curiosity

19 years old, mustang enthusiast, 2012 v6 owner, and Saving for a 5.0 GT. what's the main differences between the roush stages? And whats the cost of these over the Boss 302 mustangs? I'm planning on stepping up when I'm 25 since my insurance will be lower. Just want to know what to save for? I'm just curious and I want to know more of the v8 world. Feed my brain, thanks in advance.

I was looking at the stage 1 or 2. Mostly the 2 because I want the suspension of the roush. The supercharger is just too much to me. I would get a Shelby if I wanted just power. Getting married in maybe 3-5 years lol does it still lower it if you divorce? The boss is my dream car, hence my stripe choice on my v6. But a race car on the streets seems nearly deadly. The cheapest roush I've found so far is an 07 for 18

But yes, I would offer about 15-16 due to the miles. It's a stage 2 as well.

Roush are mostly GT mustangs dressed up (first stage looks, second stage, handling, third state is performance)

for the price buy a GT500, save money, have a faster car with more potential

Or if you don't want a boss, buy a GT and throw a supercharger in. You'll save like six grand. Also, I'm 22 with a 13 GT and my insurance is $1200 for the year

In some places you can finance a car up to ten years!.. I know when I got my Mustang over 5 years ago they offered a 8 year loan!.. I'd still be paying on it if I did that!...

Wow 10 year loans! Could you imagine? I definitely buy a house before getting an 8 or 10yr car loan. Lordy be!

Well, I graduated in May and got EXTREMELY lucky with the pay I'm getting in my first real job. So I kinda.. splurged.. a bit.. a lot.. haha.. I'm doing a 5 year loan. If I lose my job, I will basically just start digging a hole in my backyard, lay in it, and cover myself with dirt.

Mines 1200 a year and I'm in a 2012 v6. I want a boss later but these roushes are easier to find it seems. That and the boss just came out last year.

IMO I don't like the gt500. Why give me 650 hp when A) ill get to giddy at the track an hit the wall, or B) I can't hit above 85 legally and that's maybe 2-3rd in a Shelby.(redlining) I'd buy it more to look at, and I'm no looker. I want to feel the power so a stage 2 is enough for me and I get legendary roush handling. That's just me. The roush and gt500 are both around the same pricing range. Anything past a GT is really around that 50,000 and up mark.

Or you could do what I did and buy a Steeda. There are a couple more still for sale out there. It's a serialized car. And fewer built than roush and Shelby. And you get the looks, performance and handling all in 1 badass package.
