Good Tuner Car?

Well let me give you a back story, I have a 1967 mustang with a 5.8 cleveland and as you could imagine its not the best commuter car.

Im looking for a good tuner, whats a good car that has some power in it and a few after market parts and something that doesn't look so gaudy.

Pretty much im trying to stay away from the ricer look.

What are some good cars?

Good Tuner Car?

I really recommend the Honda Prelude, the 03 and newer Honda Accord V6 coupe, and the Subaru WRX. But if those are too ricey for you, I would say check out BMW. The M3 is a very fast and easily modified car, the 335i is incredibly fast with its twin turbo 6 cylinder, and the base 3 series is not too bad to begin with and can be tuned easily. These cars also offer luxury that cannot be found in most japanese tuner cars, but I would say the Accord EX V6 coupe rivals BMW in interior quality.
the Acura Integra GSR would probably be the best bang for the buck. It rev's extremely high, can handle many intense modifications, is fast to begin with, and is pretty cheap. THe aftermarket world for this car is like no other. But it is very ricey.

Besides that I could list some american cars that are relatively cheap for the amount of performance, but the ride/ handling quality, and the reliability would not be even comparable to those listed above.
These would be:
Ford Mustang GT
Dodge Charger SXT
Dodge Magnum RT
Pontiac G6 GT
Saturn Sky Redline

Subaru WRX's are great, fast cars, AWD, good gas mileage, plenty of aftermarket parts available, and doesn't look like a ricer. One of the best american-sold Japanese cars.
