2002 Ford Mustang 3.8L check engine light help!!?
Start with the wiring connections at the fuel pump (located on top of your fuel tank). Clean the connections and apply a very small amount of dielectric grease to the connections before reattaching them. Be sure to only use dielectric grease it is designed to prevent corrosion on electrical connections. When you have everything put back together, drive the car around for a day, if the check engine light is still on then your fuel pump is starting to go bad. Replace it before it leaves you stranded.
