Mustang 302 . will ford bronco 1988 302 fit into 94 mustang?

i have messed up engne i can buy bronco for 250 300 and claims i can drive it home 60 miles. i just need engine and thats worth 250 300 to me. so will a 1988 bronco engine 302 efi fit into a 94 mustang 302 efi factory. now im talking direct bolt up with NO fab work. maybe intake or a part swap but no grinding, all i got is gravel area to swap these engines so its going to be hard anyways

The Bronco 302 isn't an HO 302, so it'll be down on power compared to the HO 302 that came in the mustang. It's also going to be a speed density motor. You might run into an issue with the transmission. The 1988 Bronco either had a M5OD manual or an AOD automatic. The Mustang has either a T5 manual or an AOD-E automatic. If you have the AOD-E you're going to need some sort of device that will fool the PCM into thinking that it's getting a signal from the transmission and vice versa. You'll also need a Mustang intake manifold as others have mentioned.

Both engines (the 88 and the 94) use the EEC IV ECU and are OBD I (not OBD II) compliant.

Yes this will swap out complete, you will be down on power is the only downfall. Just take everything off each engine. like accessorys and brackets, exhaust manifolds and complete intake top and bottom. and swap everything to new engine. Good Luck

The basic long block is the same so all mounts should line up. Difference will be sensors and intake. The 88 had no computer if I remember right and the 94 had the OBDII system so wiring will be a problem.
Other than the sensors you should have no problem doing the swap.

If should just bolt right up. Ford didnt really change anything with there mustang motors till the late 90s. Its the same ford sbc 5.0 motor. Im 95% sure it will just bold right up to the tranny
