Is it okay to drive with an oil less K&N air filter for one day?

Before a medium driving trip to work. I checked all the fluids on my 98 Ford Mustang and decided to clean the K&N air filter. I have purchased and used the K&N / Air Filter Recharger Kit before. I cleaned it with the K&N cleaner and went to apply the K&N oil, but the aerosol can was empty. Seeing there were no parts stores open in the area at 5 A.M., I decided to drive with the filter in without the needed K&N oil. I plan on hitting the auto parts store on my way home to work. Will this ruin my K&N air filter and affect my car's performance in the mean time?

nope, your fine. the oil is for trapping impurities, keeping it out of the filter element. simply clean the element again, then spray the oil. no harm done.

K&N rocks
