Fix the mustang... or sell and get a spec-v?

Ok... here is the situation, i have a 1998 mustang 3.8 it has ~ 138,000 miles on it. it has been taken care of its whole life. But it is reaching that stage where i think parts are going to start breaking, it needs a new clutch and the trans rebuilt. neather are in to bad of shape yet, im thinking they will need replaced/ rebuilt within then next year or two. But, i would really like a spec-v. IF i do sell the mustang and get a spec-v it wont be a "new" one im thinking around 2002 give or take a couple of years. Im just wondering if i should just sell the mustang while it is still in good running shape. or jsut fix it up and keep putting money into it untill it gets ran into the ground. any advice will be helpful.

If it was a 4.6 I would say fix the mustang but since it isn't even a GT let it die...

yea you should sell it while its still running. it would take a couple thousand just to put in a new trans.
