Now I know it wont run right without them but its for a demo derby car so the only part of the exhaust thats on the car is the manifolds. Its a 96 mustang 6 cylinder. Is there any way to trick the car into running right like plugging the O2 sensors in and zip tying them up out of the way
Try unplugging other sensors. When a sensor is missing the computer substitutes a preset 'safe' value to allow you to get off the road. I dont know the fords that well but if you may find a sensor that makes it ignore the o2 sensor but still lets it run.
