1996 mustang cobra which would be better in Your opinion?

My daughter has a 1996 mustang cobra 4.6.It has alot of bolt on parts cold air intake, bbk headers, flomaster cat-back exhaust, 80m.m. intake, etc., mine and her question is what would be better, a super charger or a turbo charger. Neither one of us knows much about engines so any and all opinions would be appreciated. Or would neither one be worth the money and just go with a wet shot of nitrous, like maybe a 125 shot at full throttle any suggestions would be great we just want to make it a little faster it already has a superchip in it. ThankYou 96camaroZ28

well it all depends, first off why is your daughter driving a car of this caliber? (I also have a cobra). As far as the blown vs turbo. it depends what u r going for. the 4.6L DOHC 32v of that year model can only handle about 6-8 PSI before you need to rip the motor apart and replace the internals with forged parts. A turbo setup will run you about 6 thousand and you would need all sorts of dyno tuning, cam retarding to keep the motor from shooting a piston through the hood. A good choice which i know many of my friends go is the procharger brand supercharger it will cost around 2 or 3 thousand but after you bolt it on you would be looking at around 425-450 whp. Just remember a car with that HP is like a land speed cruise missile. And before i forget you would also probably need to upgrade your transmission, and your rear axle so it doesn't go out. good luck.

I would go with Nitrous. You only use it when you need it. If you are a person that don't like working on all the little parts on there car nitrous is the way to go.

p.s. If you need to remove the nitrous it unbolts.
you can tell if it has been used.

Race on the track not the street.

The mustang cobra has enough power as it is, putting a supercharger or turbocharger is just gonna make it burn more gas, and it will be too fast for ur doughter.... u trying to kill that woman?
