1988 5.0 Mustang Supercharger?

Ive got a 1988 5.0 Mustang and its completly stock and i was wondering would i be able to add a Vortech V-1 SC-TRIM supercharger that produces 5 psig with out having to change alot of parts, i know id have to put in a new fuel pump and injectors to get full potential power, but would i be able to add a supercharger with it being completly stock, and will it be safe for my engine?

Yes, you can run the supercharger. 5psi is not a lot or
pressure. I run a BDS 6-71 supercharger on my 347
Mustang, producing 520 hp @ 6,800 rpm.

It should be fine assuming your engine is in good running condition. It wouldnt hurt to have your compression checked in advance to make sure the supercharger wont compound any problems you may have, other then that it should work just fine.

If your motor has a lot of miles on it I wouldn't advise it. It may be in good condition now, but your lower end may not be able to handle it very long and you may be replacing mains very quickly.
