Can I change the sidescoops on my 1999 Mustang GT?

FMC put side scoops on the later models (2004 ish?) that are wider and not angled so poorly as the stock ones on my 99. The wider scoops "straighten" out the awkward angle Ford has made on the body of the car. The body angles down to the nose and the side lines are angled up. This gives the body a contracdictory appearance.

I've called FMC and of course, they were no help. My parts counter pusher at the local Ford dealer says it can't be done. But then again, that's their answer for everything that isn't in the book.

Isn't life great when this is all I have to complain about?

Yes, and easily. Companies such as Latemodel Restoration Supply, California Mustang, Dallas Mustang, CJ's Pony Parts and more, have them available.

Yes you can change that. I accually love the feature on my car but you may have to change the doors. I would take it to a body shop and let them do it. I also wanted to let you know, your car is bad as hell. Hope you love it as much as I do mine. Good luck.

You might have to change the doors... but otherwise you could probably try.
