Vintage Mustang Owners?

I'm considering purchasing a 1965 - 1967 Mustang to use as my daily driver. I'm concerned about the availability of repair parts. I plan on restoring and maintaining it myself. Are parts like starters, alternators, belts, bearings, etc. available at any parts store? What about the interior and body? Will I have to search for parts or are there aftermarket parts available? Thank You.

it's the most popular car for restorations, they're so easy to work on and there are a ton of parts available...most mechanical parts can be bought at Napa.. other stuff at Mustang specialist like the Paddock...

check the group below for lots of parts links and personal support..

You can get the basic repair parts (brakes, starter, alternater, etc.) at most parts stores. Chances are you will have a local Mustang only shop in your area, I've got three in a short driving distance where I live and several more further away.
Other parts (interior & body) you can find a number of sources here:

A lot of parts are after market buy you may want to search for original ford parts for some items like sheet metal for a better fit.
I've found a lot of parts on ebay, with a little patience.

There are enough parts out there for early mustangs that you could probably order all of the parts from a magazine and put it together in your garage. I been able to find anything I would possibly ever need. Check with Year One and CJ Pony Parts Inc.
