BMW m5 Engine swap to 1966 ford mustang?

is it possible? what are the other parts that i need to replace beside the engine and transmission?

Unless someone has made this swap, you won't find out what "other parts" you'll need until you do the project yourself.
I'm sure they'll be a lot of fabrication involved but the end result should be a very unique and interesting vehicle.

This is possible, but why would you want to?

Both Ford and BMW fans would be dis-approving to say the least..

And there would be a lot of fabrication.....

How about using the M5 engine in a smaller, older BMW?

Or using the late model Cobra engine in the 66? I know that's been done before, but it makes a nice package , as would a 351 Cleveland motor, if you could find one......

Dont do it. First of all the modifications would be to complicated. Second, the Mustang deserves better treatment than that, drop a 302 or a 351W in there.

ecu, electrical system, cooling system. you'd need to line up the engine mounts and fabricate ones on the frame to match with the engine. anything's possible.
