Need Help Fixing my 12v plug in on my 2003 Mustang.?

Hey guys, just bought an 03 mustang coupe, but the 12v plug under the cd and air conditioning controls isn't working. To be more specific, when i plug my ipod dock or my radar detector into the 12v, it doesn't power what im putting in. Also the metal part of the 12v plug in spins freely and quite easily which i know isn't normal. I know this doesn't really explain the problem well, but if anyone could give me any kind of help i'd definitely appreciate it. Thanks.

Sounds like the power plug socket needs replaced. You should be able to get a replacement for less than $10. In my '00 the plug just snaps into place. Easy to replace.
