Since I don't know anything about your car, the answer that I have used is Racer Walsh in Jacksonville, FL.

Provided the car is in great shape it may be worth working on. If not, sell it and use the money to buy one that is close to what you want already. This is much, much, much cheaper than doing it yourself. If you insist on working on the one you have. Why not pull the v-6 and drop in a 5.0 There are plenty of bone-yard cars that will be good parts donors. or just go buy a 84-85 v-8 car that is body bad and motor good.

Hey, I got a 1986 Ford Mustang 3.8L V6 as well. My advice to you is DO NOT put performance parts on it becaues they are soo hard to find and the car only has 120HP, what you need to do is get a new engine like i have in my garage, i got a 1989 5.0 a 2000 V6 and a 2001 Cobra Engine, and Put one of thoes in the car

The thing that sucks about our mustangs is they are carburated and all the V6's after ours were fuel injected

Yahoo message me and i can help ALOT with any questions u have

SCREW PERFORMANCE PARTS for a v6 stang. Especially one that is that old. Just rip that crappy 6 and replace it with a 5.0. They only had 120 hp @flywheel anyway. I will tell you what I tell everyone I know that has a V6 mustang and wants to soup it up. GET 2 MORE CYLINDERS!!!!
