1966 coupe mustang. Wondering about body work.?

Ok I love my car don't get me wrong but i was just wondering since it was the 2nd or third model year on a fastback the acutall slopping part of the roof or the back side of the window doesn't touch the trunk. I was wondering is it possibly to buy the new panels and change the coupe to a fastback or is the frame and axel positioning different. After looking at the parts this looks like it could be possible but still not to sure. Any one have any idea?

it doesn't have a frame, it's a unibody with subframe assemblys, they are starting to make complete replica bodys like the one for the Camaro, search google.com

everybody wants a fastback, the trouble is, until you find a source, you have to cut up a good valuable one to build a replica....

I would think since it's body-on-frame that you can swap bodies (and parts) around all you want.... I can't imagine ford making different frames back then... (today is a different story though)
