How do i make sure my engine parts will fit the block?

I have a overhaul kit for a 67 mustang 289 that will fit a 302 so I want to get a 302 block and put those parts on it plus I will need a crankshaft and heads. How can I make sure they will fit befor I buy?

"Beat it to fit, paint it to match."

Trade your 67 in for one that has a 302 in it. If all fits perfectly you will likely be on of very few that had things go so well.
