How bad is this gunna get?

tha past month ive noticed my car doin something weird when i drive.it started out when i was jus barley on tha gas but now its all tha time,it feels like its skippin kinda or like jumpin,my dad jus had the spark plugs and spark plug wires changed today and it didnt help,it now does this when im sittin still,my dad said its most likely tha torque converter.how bad can i expect this to get before it quits runnin?? its a 1996 mustang with 32000 miles

How bad is this gunna get?

If its a V-8, I'd bet my paycheck that its the EGR ports plugged with carbon underneath the air horn. The only other reason could be a Coil Pack assembly, but I would start with pulling the air horn and checking there!
