Are 2011 mustangs limited to 120mph?

I was on a long empty road and decided to floor it. I was in 4th gear at about 5000rpm, I felt a sudden loss of power and the car would not go over 120mph no matter how hard I push it. Is it electronically limited???

its a 2011 Mustang V6

Well, Top Speed is not a constant factor, even if you read a magazine that says X mph that was under that specific environment.

For a much real value for your particular scenario, you can use a car performance simulator, just add you car and let it run, try at http://www.nxgtrsim.com

Depending on the state you live in it might have a governor on it. I have seen a stock 2011 mustang do atleast 160mph before it started shaking.
