Regardless of the facts, one way or another, I feel terrible. Like I whacked puppy. My poor pony.

Ah well. It LOOKS mostly cosmetic. We will see. I am going to investigate a new front fascia now, since it's going to have to be replaced. Dunno about the hood.

Any suggestions? I could use some positive stuff in light of how dismally abyssal I feel.

My pony had an argument with the rear of a city bus, and lost.

Oh no. No one was hurt. It was a pretty low speed collision. It just happened to involve a bus. Buses have very little give to them... heh. Just mangled the fender, the bumper some, and busted my headlight.

I may look at a different bumper now, though I'm not sure which.

I am pretty shaken up in the sense that, "Oh my ****ing god! My ****ing car! **** My Life!" Other then that I'm okay. Be without my baby for a week, maybe two depending on parts (easy come by, unless I opt for a custom bumper).

No where near totaled. It's the fender, some paint. But I'm pretty sure it's gonna be okay.

That sucks so hard! Glad you're in one piece, though. Thankfully these things can be fixed. I still remember my first stang accident.... lol

Thanks all. Won't know til Monday or Tuesday when the insurance company gets a hold of my info and either sends out an assessment officer ( or has it carted to their shop ) and then it'll go to the bodyshop, or straight there, which is when I will finally get a date for getting my car back. Chances are I will be able to get an aftermarket bumper for cheaper then OEM. Not sure, but if so, I have no idea which way to go. Also, I am hoping they change both my headlights but not sure there.

Sucks though. Sucks hard.

Me too, supposedly! I've been delayed twice due to an ice storm Friday and a missing piece of the replacement side-view mirror.

I know that feel, only too well.

It was going to be early last week. Then it was last Friday. Now it's tomorrow.

I'm hopeful that it will be, however; if there's another delay I won't be too surprised. The up side of the delays, for me at least, is that it just shows that the shop in question (Suburban Motors in Victoria, a Ford Dealership, Bodyshop and Parts & Service) is making 100% sure that I get my car back in 100% condition.

It hurts, but it's for the better.

No more Stang Smackin'!

I'd rather wait and it be perfect than rushed and crap. I picked this shop cause the owner knows me and he does an awesome job. He also has a direct account with my insurance company. He fixes whatever he wants and bills them, they take his work/estimates as if he's one of their own adjusters.

Hilarious.

This is also excatly why I chose the shop I did. I have a reputation with them, I know a guy, and they are an authorized ICBC (that's the insurance corp up here in BC, Canada) appraiser. This means they can run their own assessment, submit the paperwork to my insurance, and get right to work without having an adjuster be involved in the process.

Also, I've got a great driving record. Up here, after enough years, you earn one "excusable". It's a free accident - you pay the deductible, and even though the rate goes up over three years (only approx $50/year more then I was paying before this) you don't lose your road-star driving status, 43% discount etc etc.

Still...

... wish it'd never happened.

I can't stand to see any Stang wrecked. I hit a deer a couple of years back with mine, but luckily it didn't do that much damage and she's back on the road now. Haha.

What kind? Also, if you're selling them, how much? And if the price is right, where are you so we can figure out cost of shipping?

SPRINGS!
