In need of informative opinion regarding trading in 4.6 to 5.0 GT

Good day fellas. This may be a lengthy post due to im seeking informative opinion of my fellow mustang owners : ) , also i apologized in advance if this thread is posted in a wrong section. I purchased my first mustang and fell in love with it 6 months ago. By then the only Mustang GT Stick Shift 2010 + Model available in my area within 100 miles is this gorgeous 2010 GT. I got a pretty good deal on it. Anyhow, i had it oil changed today (Ford Dealer) and while waiting i saw this 2011 Mustang GT 2011 5.0. To be honest i never had any intention of racing my car in any other form but sometimes that 5.0 and HP differential between 2010 and 2011 and up makes me wonder. (it could be a buyers remorse). i test drive it, didn't really felt the difference at that point. in short, me and the car sales man did the calculation of possible swap.

Their sticker price for 2011 GT with 28000K miles is $ 26990.00. Is that okay?
They price my GT 2010 with 17000K miles for ONLY $ 17500 initially.

Brief comparison in my mind in getting the 2011

PROS: 5.0
6 speed
97 HP more (base)
Still within 36 manuf warranty

CONS: Mileage
non premium wheels (17 inch)
non premium leather seat (partially leather/standard) mine comes with the visible stitching and heated seat) Mine is far good looking internally.
Price difference

The deal:

I purchase mine for $ 24K of the door and trade in my OZ rally Lancer for 3.5 K and of the door my initial car loan is around 21 and todays pay out is 19K.

after all negotiations they would pay of my current pay out loan and with a discount wanted the 2011 for 25,750 + CA TAX and other fees. estimated of the door price is $ 29K +

Theoretically is it worth it to add 10 K to my car loan to get this car? Geico also told me that my insurance coverage will cost more by atleast 500 in a year. Would the price, extra horse power justifies a divorce between me and the '10 GT? FYI that is also the only mustang GT 2011 stick shift available in my area per auto trader

If you didn't think there was a difference when you drive it (surprised), then sounds like you are happy with your performance... Use that money elsewhere. It might also I indicate that that 2011 gt might have an issue... You should notice a performance difference of 97 horsepower.

Maybe i just didnt notice the difference because we didnt able to go that far due to rush hour traffic.

That 2011 has almost 30k miles!!! Yours has 17k.

I'd keep yours. Them asking 26k for the 2011 is high IMO for that kind of mileage.

That is true and i also pointed that out but they're major selling point is 5.0 stick shift ( they said, it sells fast). Thank you guys for your opinion. Maybe i just need to love my 4.6 more. The price difference that they wanted is too big. maybe i'll try again next year... i actually wanted 24K of the door and they cant

I paid 27k for My 2011 5.0 but mine was the GT/CS package. My car also only had 7k miles on it. The car was in brand new conditions. The price is to high on there's for the milage. I say keep your car or trade it in for a base 2013.

I got my '11 base GT new for 29.5 out the door. Don't waste your money. I've driven a premium '10 GT. It's still a badass car. Save some money, supercharge yours and blow the doors off a 5.0 with your '10.

Price is high for the mileage . I just bought a 2012 with 8k for 24,500. I too was unimpressed with the 5.0, then I got to test drive one without a salesman in the car. The feeling I got, if I can put it in words, at about 4k rpms It's like you just hit a shot of nitrous . I went back and signed the papers immediately. Expand your search area to 200 mi and do it every day, the good deals are gone in a day or two.

You'd be getting bent over.. No lube no reach around.. They are high on theirs and low on yours. If they are not willing to move BOTH walk away..

Expand your search if you get serious about a 5.0. I had to travel 1,100 miles to get the one with what I wanted on it, for the price I was willing to pay...enjoy
