Re: magnaflow or flowmaster?

Whether its on a v6 or v8. I prefer magnaflow over flowmasters any day. The only bad thing though is the price difference between the 2 are like night and day

I ran Flowmasters on my V6 and liked them. Personal preference though.

Re: magnaflow or flowmaster?

Flowmasters all the way. If you're making enough power, the 2 or so hp difference that people make such a big deal about when they talk about chambered vs. straight-through mufflers is negligible.

Atomic performance sells just the mufflers. PM him. They aren't listed on his website, but he does have them.

Re: magnaflow or flowmaster?

thanks for the help! magnaflow emailed me back and said that the magnapacks were 4" round mufflers. so i think i found a website that sells them, but i'll look into that atomic performance as well.

go with magnaflow

I have the magnaflow and love it, they are cheaper on ebay but I wanted a warranty (the salt on the roads here in winter kills an exhaust) so I got it here magnaflow 16674, or you can try one of the vendors here, they are always running sales/specials. either way its a great system and very easy to install.

Re: magnaflow or flowmaster?

I also have a 2000 v6 and I'm thinking of getting magnaflow or the flowmaster 40 series exhaust. I want it to have a deeper sound to it. I haven't heard either one except for videos on youtube and they aren't always good because of wind noise and quality of the cameras. What do you think?
