How many different gens of mustangs have you driven? I'm making it a goal to drive one of every generation at least once. Anyone else like this? My progress so far:

98 cobra 5 speed
01 gt 5 speed (mine)
2010 v6 auto

My first was 88 lx 5.0 light blue
Second 91 lx 5.0 red with nitrous
Then bought a project 89 lx notch roller and put a built 306 with afr heads took nitrous off of 91 it would run 12.8.
Next was my first new edge 01 GT laser red
Then another 01 that was built with nitrous patroit heads livernos nitrous cams. Ran 12.5
Now just my dd 02 GT that's mainly a street car. Had my fun racing now raising kids

Awesome thread idea and awesome goal. I Share the same one.

96 V6 Auto (my buddy's)
04 GT (mine)

...so far.

Would you consider Mustang II a "generation"? Doesn't seem to be a whole lot of those on the road these days. I've only seen 1 or 2 in my area in the past decade or so.

Yes there a generation it saved the mustang name that and the sn-95 saved the mustang they almost didn't make the mustang those 2 times

Right, my point was it would generally be difficult to find one to drive as so few exist anymore. (At least in my neck of the woods)

There are some cool lists in this thread.

All were mine...
'92 Black GT 5spd
'88 White GT Auto (so the wifey could drive it)
'04 Azure blue Mach 1

And rented one...
'99 Yellow 6'er Vert Auto

I'm the only one in my group of friends growing up that loved Mustangs. They were all Chevy fans

The first 03 cobra scared the pants off me. Was pullied, full exhaust. I had my 02 v6 then and just wasn't expecting that much power.

Most of them weren't driven very hard as they belonged to friends. I do remember a kenny brown built 97 cobra that was probably the best handling car i've ever driven.

I drove the classics like a classic but just the looks they draw are worth it.

My secret is dealerships and friends. I'm never ashamed to walk on a lot and ask for keys, done that since high school. Just drove a scion frs thurs because I was curious about it. Werks mini cooper is next.

It's alot of fun having driven so many different vehicles. M3's m5's 335i with mods, vettes, vipers, exotics, all combinations of imports, etc etc. The list of trucks is just as long.

My friends dad has a cobra II but it needs an engine put in it, I'll definitely try to convince him to let me drive it at least once.
