Road trip?

Hey guys, I'm going to be driving from Boston MA to Miami FL, then retiring Boston for a week in March. Have any of you drive your mustang for such long trip? should i rent an economy car? We have two people, my car is 13 GT with 6000 miles on it.

1.) Are you afraid of gas pumps, of your throttle, or of lightening your wallet some? Then yes; rent a P.O.S. econobox from whoever has the cheapest rates, the best insurance and the crappiest cars (so that you can hoon and abuse them to make up for their lack of go).

2.) Are you, or is your car, a garage queen? If not, grab yourself a pair of balls and hit the road! Mustangs were built for two things, really - finding speed on the straights and blasting petrol-heads half way across the country in affordable comfort and kickass speed.

3.) Do you, or anyone involved in your trip, weigh in excess of 350Lbs, have sixe legs and a rectangular torso? No? Then you'll be fine.

Suck it up! Do the miles!

We're not talking about a Type 1 Bugatti Racer from the 1920's here.

If you're worried about your Mustang making a few thousand mile round trip, then you've got better things to spend your money on then said trip. Fix that pony up right.

Amen! Cars are made to be enjoyed. That's like leaving behind my dog when I road trip. Not gonna happen! I veer off course just for an unknown adventure. Point is, don't leave behind something you enjoy
