If mustangs didn't exist, I would eventually end up with a '69 camaro ss 4spd. That or a Pontiac Ventura, my dads first car.

Easy

I would still have my John Cooper Works Mini if Mustangs did not exist at all for the past 25 years or so.

I was at the Toyota dealer yesterday getting a crank seal in my Tacoma. I sat in one of those new Scion/Subaru FRS.....I was pleasantly surprised I fit 6"3"+ I know even my Stang is faster but all the reviews mention how fun it is to drive, I would look at those if I was in the market for a new toy today.

Edit: 84 lol
It's a 30 year old car that wasn't that great, reliability wise, when it was brand new. Go give your brother a big kiss, he saved your ***.
I'd still be driving my F250 if Mustangs didn't exist, naturally.

2010+ Maserati GranTurismo MC

White with black trimming and (red brake)

If you meant as priced range at the moment, as there's no mustang.
I'd have to say 2011+ CLS63 AMG. Just wont have no money for mods... Fail.

All About The New TRANS AM!

Mustangs aside....
I love me some Smokey And The Bandit, 1979 Trans Am, as my buddy has towards the end of a custom restore top to bottom.
-I would love to own a new one just the same:

Kinda~
The new Trans Am will have 3 new engines up front. A 5.0L, an Ecoboost V6, and a 650HP special edition.
*The 2015 Pontiac Trans Am is a coupe/convertible pony car available in V6, Firebird, Trans Am trim levels. The base Trans Am is powered by a 3.7-liter V6 engine that produces 305 hp/280 lb-ft of torque while the Firebird is equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 engine that yields 420 hp/390 lb-ft of torque. Upgrading to the monstrous 2015 Trans Am trim significantly increases output to 662 hp and 631 lb-ft of torque. Transmission options consist of a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and Tremec 6-speed manual (Trans Am). Fuel mileage falls within an EPA estimate range of 15 mpg city to 31 mpg highway, depending on trim selection. Features include glass roof, adjustable performance features, electronic power assist steering, rearview camera, navigation system, heated seats, and hands-free capabilities. Safety is comprised of anti-lock braking (ABS), brake assist (BA), stability control (ESC), and advanced airbags. The 2015 Trans Am is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.

They still were all based off a mustang, no pony cars would exist so there would be no point in a 2015. Besides GM killed the Pontiac line last year. I work for UAW

If mustangs didn't exist and I had to choose another car, I would choose a third gen firebird / trans am.

They are some really cool looking cars.

Probably not spelled correctly ___BUT___

Chris Economaki was the name of a sports caster at a Trans am race when he said:::" look at them Pony Cars go." regarding the Mustangs leading the field. That is where the term Pony Cars came from. "MUSTANGS". Of course it moved on to all medium size cars with big V8 engines. He was a great guy and could ad-lib a lot of his commentary when doing a broadcast of any race. He was the very best.
